Pancakes with Santa

Our neighborhood hosts an annual pancakes with Santa...where the kiddeos can get their picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus and enjoy a nice breakfast.  Brae was terrified of Santa and screamed her head off.  Mrs. Claus tried first and Brae was being very shy....then when we got online to see sit with Santa, she really lost it!  Oh well, maybe next year!

Helping to decorate the xmas tree

Brae really enjoyed helping me decorate the tree - she likes to point to the different ornaments and they are all named "ball" right now.  Every day, she helps turn on the tree, she seems to really love to watch it light up!

Thankful for little girls!

We spent a lovely thanksgiving with Rob and Michelle and helped celebrate Emma's 1st birthday, since her actual birthday was on thanksgiving this year!  Emma was kind enough to share her birthday cake with Braelyn - I think they both really enjoyed it!!

Paul, as always, is the center of attention for the little ones! 

 

Halloween

We had fun this halloween with Braelyn and Skylar both dressed up as little bumblebees!  Skylar seemed much happier being in costume than Brae - she wouldn't even let us put her bumblebee wings on!  But she was very happy sitting on the porch helping to hand out candy to the other little ones!

Punkin Patch

This post is very delayed but we went to Hill Ridge Farms in October and had such a great day - we took a hay ride, Brae tried to pet a pony and we picked out pumkpins!

Early December Snow!

We had a very unusual snowfall this past weekend - althought it was really just flurries.  It was so pretty and we wanted to take Brae out to play in it, but she was really scared and couldn't quite figure out why we were so excited about the snow!  Maybe by the time Christmas comes, she'll like the snow more...since we're going to Indiana and there is alot of snow on the ground there already!!

Emma G turned 1 and Brae helped her celebrate. 

She was definitely checking out Emma's cake to see when she was going to get some too!!

Being Silly

One of my new favorite things to do, is to unroll toliet paper. I think its super fun!

Future Soccer Star

Braelyn has some impressive soccer skills already!!  Perhaps a career in professional sports lies ahead!  :)

Waterfest at School!

Braelyn's school held their waterfest over the summer. 


She had a great time playing in the water tables and with the bean bag toss.  She was too little though, to go down the big water slide...maybe next year!

My First Steps

Braelyn started walking in early June, when she was about 14 months old.  Here are some of her first steps! 

Fourth of July!

We attended the bedford annual July 4th Parade around the clocktower.  Brae liked being pulled around in her wagon, which we dressed up for the holiday!

Family Vacation at Emerald Isle

In June, we took a wonderful family vacation to Emerald Isle.  The kids had a great time playing together and Braelyn decided she wanted to be a big kid, like her cousin Greysen! 

At first, Brae was scared of the ocean but then she was like a little fish and we couldn't get her out of the water!  And I think the Grandparents really enjoyed themselves too!!

Summer Recap!

I've been very delinquent in updating our blog over the past few months!  We've had a bunch of huge milestones with Braelyn - she began walking in June at 14 months and starting talking.  Her first real word was "uh oh", which is ridiculously cute.  She has a couple of additional words now - Baby, Book, Mama and Dada.

My 1 year pictures

We had Heather Johnson take Brae's 1 year pictures - She always gets such great pictures of Braelyn!  It was about 90 degrees and sunny, but Brae still came out looking great! 

We took the pictures at the Rose Garden behind the Raleigh Little Theatre - its such a beautiful place and all of the roses were in bloom!  It was a perfect day and place for photos! 

My birthday party

I had a great first birthday party, with all of my little friends.  My water table was a bit hit with everyone...as were the bubbles! 

I also had my first taste of cake too and mmmm it was yummy!!  The day was a little overwhelming for me though and I had to go to bed early - but then woke up early to open up all my fun presents and play with my new toys!

Fun at the water table

One of Brae's favorite things to do is to play in Gibby's water bowl.  For her birthday, Pop-Pop got her this great water table and she loves playing in it! 

We had a great time that weekend, enjoying the beautiful weather and playing in her water table.  She splashes so hard in it and gets everyone wet!  But, its too cute - Check out her crazy Mohawk in the left picture!   

I love my new toys!

I got some great new presents for my 1st birthday! I LOVE riding in my new princess cozy coupe, up and down the street.

I have so many toys now, its hard to choose my favorites - but I do love ming ming. :)

I'm one!

Brae turned 1 on April 19th! She was not very happy when I put on her birthday hat but she was much happier when she could practice walking with her toy!!

Our Easter Bunny!!

Braelyn enjoyed getting her first easter basket! We also had a great brunch with the Thieme's and Brae even offered to pay the bill!!

Caterpillar Ride

One of my favorite things to do, is to sit on my caterpillar and be pushed all around the family room.

Bouncey House

We went to Eliza's 3rd birthday party and they had this inflatable bouncey house in the backyard. Brae had a great time at the party, until I put her in the bouncey house - she was a little scared by it and you can see her trying to figure out how to get out of it. We'll keep trying - one day she'll love a bouncey house!
